Casa D’Angelo boasts a world-class wine program that matches the restaurant’s equally-as-impressive dining experiences, and has earned Wine Spectator “Best of Award of Excellence” each year, consecutively since 2000.
Our in-house sommelier, Koen, takes great care in educating guests so they can explore new wines that are unfamiliar but worth the adventure. Koen also considers how well the wine matches Angelo’s authentic Tuscan cuisine, and how many different dishes it complements.
Over the past 20 years, Koen, along with Angelo, has personally explored the world’s most well-known wine-producing regions to build Casa D’Angelo’s exclusive on-site Wine Cellar. This also includes regular visits to the Vin Italy Wine Fair, one of the largest in the world, to taste & hand-select wines for both Casa D’Angelo and Angelo Elia Pizza Bar & Tapas.
The Casa D’Angelo Wine Cellar includes about 20,000 bottles, featuring wines from every wine-producing region of Italy. Wines from the Piedmont and Tuscany regions are most prevalent, since those best complement Angelo’s traditional Italian cuisine. Bordeaux, Burgandy and Rhone selections from France were recently added to the collection.
